This information is provided in accordance with Directive 2000/31/EC (e-Commerce) and Romanian Law 365/2002 on electronic commerce, and serves as the single point of contact under Articles 11 and 12 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act). Authorities and users may contact us in English or Romanian at the address above.
What the Service does
awesome-repositories.com is a public directory of open-source GitHub repositories. Anyone can browse. Submitting a repository queues it for admin review; once approved, it appears in the public directory. The Service is free of charge and does not conclude paid contracts with users.
What you can submit
By submitting a repository you confirm that:
- The repository is public on GitHub and its licence permits its metadata and README to be displayed on third-party sites.
- The submission does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights, and you are not impersonating the repository's maintainers.
- The content being surfaced does not contain malware, phishing, adult content, hate speech, doxxing material, or anything else illegal under EU or Romanian law, or illegal where it will be viewed.
You grant awesome-repositories.com a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to cache, display, and serve the submitted metadata and README excerpts to visitors. Ownership of the repository itself remains with its author(s) under the licence declared on GitHub.
Moderation and content rules
Uploads land in a pending state. Admins may approve, reject, edit the title, or delete submissions to keep the gallery on-topic and within the rules above. We apply these rules in a diligent, objective, and proportionate manner and respect the fundamental rights of users, as required by Article 14(4) of the Digital Services Act.
If we restrict, remove, or demote your submission we will, where technically feasible and where we have a way to contact you, provide a clear statement of reasons covering the action taken, the facts relied on, and the legal or contractual ground, in line with Article 17 of the Digital Services Act.
Reporting illegal content
Anyone can notify us of content they believe is illegal under EU or national law by emailing hello@bringes.io with:
- the URL of the content,
- a sufficiently detailed explanation of why it is illegal,
- your name and contact address (not required for notices about content that amounts to offences referred to in Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU),
- a statement of good-faith belief that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.
We will confirm receipt without undue delay, review the notice, and notify you of our decision. This is our notice-and-action mechanism under Article 16 of the Digital Services Act.
Voting, searching, feedback
Don't manipulate votes (scripted upvotes, rotating IPs, coordinated voting rings). Don't abuse the search or feedback forms to spam or harass. We may block, rate-limit, or permanently remove content that attempts this.
No warranty
The Service is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law. We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or security of uploaded content. The previews you view are sandboxed, but you should treat anything on this site as untrusted third-party code. Nothing in this section affects mandatory warranty rights you may have as a consumer under EU or Romanian law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bringes Technology SRL and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service — including losses from uploaded content being removed, modified, or inaccessible. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable EU or Romanian law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Romania. If you are a consumer resident in the EU you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept them.
